How will I help?
The WIB Digital Team is responsible for enabling the WIB Digital Strategy by delivering new digital capability to our relationship managed customers and internal facing teams. A large part of this capability will be realised through delivery of the Westpac One platform. This is a new digital platform experience for relationship managed customers providing personalised access to real-time liquidity and payment solutions; lending, deposit and risk management tools; digitised onboarding and data-driven insights.
The Digital Analyst will be joining this team and be responsible for supporting the Product Owner and Product Manager by executing on the overall product strategy to the extent that the initiative you own contributes to it. You will articulate the current future state processes that support a digital initiative including process mapping where required and identify solution design and approach options and presenting these to stakeholders for discussion and decision. You will identify opportunities for business outcomes for the initiative to be improved and problem solve where issues arise. Additionally, you will:
Define requirements that align and support delivery of target business value aligning with the scope of the business case.
Manage internal stakeholders across the end-to-end process.
Assist the product owner in defining and managing the product backlog.
Manage change risk to support safe and sustainable product development and enhancements.
Define and manage the requirements through the delivery lifecycle to meet business needs.
Manage and influence stakeholders, balancing both customers and business needs and translating these into business outcomes.
What do I need?
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience in the financial services industry, with proven experience working in a large and complex organisation and working with senior stakeholders and understanding their viewpoints. You will come from a strong Senior Business Analyst background and be an expert in agile project processes and tools such as JIRA and Confluence. In addition to this you will:
Have at least 3 years' Business Analyst experience.
Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with cross-functional teams.
Be experienced in developing executive level presentations.
Have solid Banking Domain understanding – either CIB/FM/GTS.
Have working experience in the past around banking Digital Programs focussed on Customer Experience.
Have excellent communication and influencing skills required to manage significant relationships with stakeholders.
Be a certified Appian Analyst and knowledge around PING products is advantageous.
