This is a part time (.8EFT) parental leave cover role until September 2025, with work days being Tuesday - Friday.

As the Dietetics Team Lead at Epworth Freemasons, you will be responsible for the day to day running, guidance and development of the Dietetics service. The successful candidate will be working as part of a small Dietetics team, alongside our incredible allied health, nursing, medical and food services teams. Clinical areas include general surgical, orthopaedics, ICU, oncology, gynaecology and general medical.

You will make an impact by: Providing evidence-based nutrition intervention advice, support, counselling and education to patients and their family/carers Demonstrating empathy and compassion, encouraging patient and family members participation in all stages of care Promoting and providing dietetic and nutritional intervention across a range of inpatient wards and outpatient services Actively participating as a member of the department and relevant committees Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care using a patient-centred approach Initiating, leading, and actively participating in quality activities ensuring opportunities for improvement are actively explored and best practice is achieved To be successful in this role you will have: Previous experience in an acute hospital setting (minimum of 7 years) Experience in ICU and oncology is ideal Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders at all levels The ability to develop, influence and motivate a small team of experienced clinicians Commitment to best practice and working within a multidisciplinary team Well-developed time management, prioritisation and communication skills Proven evidence of service delivery and leading quality projects About Freemasons Located in East Melbourne, close to public transport and the CBD, Epworth Freemasons provides a range of world-class health services.
