Part-Time Role with Growth Potential
We are currently offering a part-time position with the expectation that it will expand as our caseload increases. This role is ideal for a candidate with ambition and drive, eager to grow and develop our service.
This role requires face-to-face interaction with clients at one of our Allied Health centres in Toowoomba, Brisbane, Ipswich, or Moreton Bay. Occasional travel between these locations will be necessary as required.
What is the role?
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dietician to join our team and provide comprehensive nutrition services to our patients. As a Dietician, you will work closely with individuals to assess their nutritional needs, develop personalised meal plans, and educate them on healthy eating habits. Your expertise and guidance will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve their health and wellness goals.
Key responsibilities

Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' nutritional needs, taking into account their medical history, dietary preferences, and lifestyle factors.
Meal Planning: Develop customised meal plans and dietary recommendations that align with patients' specific health goals, medical conditions, and cultural considerations.
Nutritional Counselling: Provide one-on-one counselling sessions to patients, offering guidance on making healthier food choices, managing weight, and addressing specific dietary concerns.
Medical Nutrition Therapy: Apply evidence-based practices to create nutrition therapy plans for patients with conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, and gastrointestinal disorders.
Education and Support: Educate patients on the importance of proper nutrition and its impact on overall health. Provide ongoing support, motivation, and accountability to help patients adhere to their dietary plans.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient consultations, assessments, and progress. Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards regarding patient confidentiality.
Collaborative Approach: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and therapists, to develop integrated treatment plans that address patients' holistic needs.
Stay Updated: Stay informed about the latest research, nutritional guidelines, and industry trends. Continuously expand your knowledge base and apply new findings in your practice.
Outreach and Education: Conduct presentations, workshops, and community outreach programs to promote nutrition education and awareness.
Fulfil other duties as required by management and other department personnel as requested/required.

You will have

Mandatory Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
Certification: Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) certification. Evidence of maintaining active licensure and staying up-to-date with continuing education requirements.
Experience: Previous experience working as a Clinical Dietician is highly desirable. Experience in a clinical or hospital setting is a plus.
A driver's license.
NDIS experience desirable but not essential.
NDIS worker screening check or willingness to obtain.
Covid & flu vaccination evidence.
