Diesel Motor Mechanic

Global Talent Placements is looking for qualified Diesel Motor Mechanics for branches across Australia. The successful candidates will be responsible for the servicing of equipment in our workshop and on occasion may be requested to service our equipment and clients onsite.
These are full-time permanent roles.
Your other duties will include;
Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and partsDismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking partsRepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as neededPerforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulationsReassembling engines and parts after being repairedTesting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performanceDiagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computersMay inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthinessMay respond to vehicle breakdown service callsThe successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication and Continuous Improvement – in addition to this they will have Certificate III in Automotive Diesel Engine Technology including at least two years of on-the-job training, or Certificate IV in Automotive Diesel Engine TechnologyAt least two years of relevant full-time experience (where a suitable Certificate III or IV is held), or at least three years of full-time work experience where no suitable trade certificate is heldAdvanced mechanical skills and experience operating within a workshop environment, repairs, and full refurbishment workshopExpert in the maintenance, testing, and repairing of diesel motors and the mechanical parts of various motor vehicles' transmissions, suspension, steering, and brakes.Dogging and Forklift tickets with relevant experience.Be able to pass a drug and alcohol test and work unsupervised in a teamHow to Apply This is a great opportunity to work in a progressive and dynamic team within a secure and stable industry.
