This means we are first choice with our clients.Our head office is based in Airlie Beach but our Maintenance office is based in Gympie. This is where the position will be based.To be considered for the role you need to have a relevant industry qualification or at least 3 years' experience in a similar position.SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:Experience with trucks, buses and other heavy vehiclesDetecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and partsDismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking partsRepairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals as neededPerforming scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulationsReassembling engines and parts after being repairedTesting and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performanceDiagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computersFamiliar with hydraulic systemsMay inspect vehicles and issue roadworthiness certificates or detail work required to achieve roadworthinessRespond to vehicle breakdown service callsTruck or heavy vehicle licence highly desirableYOU MUST BEFlexiblePositive with a can-do attitudeWilling to join our team and be part of something great!If this sounds like something you would like to be part of please apply.Job Type: Full-timePay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per yearSchedule:Shift workWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
