We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced diesel mechanic/motor mechanic capable of turning their hand to a variety of mechanical tasks to join our team on our family farms just outside Adelaide. Aptitude and broad experience are more important than trade qualifications. We specialize in growing small crops for the wholesale market. About the RoleYou will be working on our two farms in South Australia, not far from Adelaide. Your average working week will comprise many tasks typical on a farm:
Rebuilding a tractor engine or 3PLWelding up broken steel mounting bracketsMaking running repairs on our cool room or the computer-controlled growing shedsAddressing maintenance issues on our composting machinery and farm vehiclesThe farms have excellent staff amenities away from the work area, and you will be encouraged to make use of these during breaks. Note also that there are quarantine measures in place to avoid cross-contamination or introduction of unwanted pests into the growing sheds.
We are looking for an experienced mechanic/general mechanical person to join our team. What you will get in return is an enjoyable and positive work/life balance. BenefitsWe are looking for a person with ideally 3 years' experience in a similar role. This is a full-time position in a well-established family business. You will work closely with your fellow team members and be open to their observations to allow you to more effectively undertake your role.
A competitive remuneration will be offered relative to your experience and skills. The range will be between $65,000 and $80,000+ per annum plus government regulated superannuation at 11.5%. The role has a 3-month probation period, after which you will be offered permanent employment.
