The Role This role is based in our client's site workshop on the Rio-Tinto mine site.
As an experienced site-based diesel mechanic, you will be required to undertake the following tasks, but not limited to: Conduct scheduled servicing and repairs on Caterpillar mining equipment.
Conduct advanced diagnostics of Caterpillar mining equipment.
Conduct air-conditioning repairs to Caterpillar mining equipment.
Attend to and diagnose breakdowns as required by the customer.
Overall Qualities and Characteristics Required: DMS requires the successful applicant to have a can-do attitude and be self-motivated.
You must be neat/tidy in presentation and keep a clean work area.
Be flexible to undertake any task thrown your way along with having the willingness to learn as you go.
You will have a diesel mechanic trade certificate with a minimum of 5 years' experience.
Driver's license.
Advanced diagnostic experience on Caterpillar mining equipment.
Must be able to work completely unsupervised.
Must have the ability to think outside the box and create solutions in situations where others might give up.
Strive under high-pressure situations.
