Key Responsibilities As a Diesel Fitter at Quicksilver, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a wide range of mechanical equipment that supports our operations both on land and at sea.
Your responsibilities will include: Diagnose, maintain and repair a large variety of mechanical equipment associated with our vessels, pontoons and land-based assets in Port Douglas Perform routine servicing and inspections Troubleshoot mechanical issues and recommend solutions Maintain accurate service records and adhere to safety standards About you We are looking for candidates who: Possess relevant trade qualifications (preferred but not essential) or hands-on experience Have a strong interest in diesel mechanics and a willingness to learn Are mechanically minded with good problem-solving skills Have a positive attitude and can work both independently and as part of a team Essential Requirements A valid driver's license (manual license preferred) A commitment to workplace safety Physical fitness to meet the demands of the role Desirable but Not Essential Certificate III in Engineering Previous experience in diesel fitting, heavy machinery, or similar fields Benefits Stability in a long-established business proud of their inclusive culture and working environment Discounted boat tours and cruises for your family and friends Discounted diving tours in Cairns and Port Douglas Corporate discounts on private health A wide range of special discounts with our industry partners and goods suppliers How to apply To be considered for this role, please include a cover letter and CV.
