Job Description: A skilled and proactive Diesel Fitter is sought to join the team.
This crucial role involves maintaining, repairing, and servicing a fleet of diesel-powered machinery and equipment used in major oil and gas projects.
The role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of the equipment.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and other mechanical components of heavy machinery.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
Perform preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan and reliability of equipment.
Collaborate closely with project and plant maintenance teams to ensure machinery is in optimal working condition.
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Engage in ongoing training and development to stay updated with the latest technologies and maintenance practices.
Qualifications and Experience: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Diesel Fitting) or an equivalent qualification.
Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter, preferably within the oil and gas sector or a related industry.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and heavy equipment maintenance.
Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong commitment to safety and quality.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
