Die Setter - Injection Moulding Technician About the role Plastec Australia, a leading manufacturer of high-quality plastic plumbing products, is seeking a skilled and experienced Die Setter - Injection Moulding Technician to join our team in Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast.
This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of our high-tech injection moulding machines, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
What you'll be doing Setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines to ensure optimal performance and product quality (from 200-5500 T) Problem solving machine settings and conducting preventive maintenance Performing quality checks on finished products and implementing necessary adjustments to the moulding process Collaborating with the production team, other die-setters and technicians to identify and resolve any issues and maintain production output Maintaining detailed records of machine settings, production data, and any maintenance or repair activities Providing training and guidance to less experienced operators, fostering a culture of continuous improvement What we're looking for An experienced Injection Moulding Technician or Die Setter, with a strong understanding of injection moulding processes and equipment Proficient in setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting injection moulding machines, as well as conducting preventive maintenance Mechanical aptitude with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment Extensive knowledge with a wide range of plastic materials (particularly PVC) would be an advantage Experience in the safe operation of overhead cranes Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards Effective communication skills to collaborate with the production team Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in injection moulding or a related field will be highly regarded What we offer At Plastec Australia, we are committed to providing a supportive work environment for our employees.
