This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Heavy Vehicle Diagnostic Technician to join our new team and contribute to our growth.
About the role: Utilise advanced diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues in diesel engines and related systems.Analyse diagnostic data to create effective repair strategies.Liaise with the OEM to troubleshoot regarding specialised technician tasks.Perform repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical systems.Conduct routine maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, and filter replacements.Communicate effectively with customers to explain diagnostic findings and recommended repairs.Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines.Maintain detailed records of diagnostic tests, repairs, and parts used.Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer specifications.Work closely with service advisors and other technicians to ensure efficient workflow.Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.Stay updated on the latest diesel technology and repair techniques through ongoing training and certification programs.Participate in dealership training sessions and workshops. Who we're looking for: Relevant trade qualifications or certification as a Truck Technician.Proven experience as a diagnostic diesel technician, preferably in a dealership setting.Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity with modern diagnostic tools and equipment.Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Current Truck licence.
