$29.57 to $32.69 per hour  with salary packaging benifits Permanant Part Time opportunity About the Role The Diabetes Administration Officer plays a critical role in supporting the diabetes service team by delivering essential administrative assistance that ensures timely access to care for the wider community.
This position requires careful handling of sensitive patient information, while maintaining privacy and confidentiality.
The successful candidate will act as a key liaison within the diabetes service, coordinating outpatient clinics, managing appointment scheduling, overseeing correspondence, and ensuring accurate data entry.
Key Responsibilities Ensure a seamless process for all inquiries and appointments, while creating a welcoming environment.
Screen and address a wide range of sensitive personal inquiries and telephone requests, ensuring appropriate and timely follow-up.
Assist in managing appointments, schedules, and correspondence while maintaining office equipment and supplies, facilitating overall operational efficiency.
Manage the logistics of outpatient diabetes clinics, including check-in, check-out, and follow-up processes to ensure smooth operations Assist inpatient admissions for procedures as requested by Clinical Nurse Consultants.
Skills & Experience Competent with a range of software packages including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook, and proficient in using other databases as required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering positive professional relationships.
Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload and initiate tasks with minimal supervision.
Desirable Certificate IV in Business Administration or higher.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
