What you'll be doingWe are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Levarti AU team. This role involves building, maintaining, and optimizing our AWS environments, ensuring user account security, and automating routine tasks using various scripting and orchestration tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux, AWS, and infrastructure automation, coupled with the ability to ensure system compliance and security.
As part of this role, you will collaborate closely with development teams to code and automate the deployment of their applications and provide operational support.
Cloud Infrastructure Engineer Responsibilities: Build and Maintain AWS Environments: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, reliable AWS cloud infrastructure.User Account Security and Administration: Manage user accounts, permissions, and ensure the highest levels of security and compliance.Automate Common Tasks: Develop scripts and use automation tools (bash, Python, Ansible, Terraform) to streamline and optimize operations.Perform Regular Patching and Upgrades: Ensure all servers are regularly patched, SSL certificates are updated, and software is kept up to date.Knowledge Base Maintenance: Create and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base of common IT tasks and fixes.Backup Administration: Oversee the administration of backup jobs and perform daily system checks to ensure data integrity and availability.Policy and Procedure Documentation: Develop and update policy and procedure documents to ensure compliance with required standards.IT Security Policies and Procedures: Take ownership of and update IT security policies and procedures regularly to meet industry standards.DevOps Responsibilities: Collaborate with development teams: to ensure smooth and automated deployment of applications and code to various environments. This collaboration aims to streamline the development and deployment process, reduce errors, and accelerate delivery cycles.Skills and Experience: Linux Expertise: Excellent knowledge of Linux, with experience in MySQL and Redis.Web Environment Deployment: Proven experience in deploying web environments using NGINX, load balancers, and HAProxy, etc.Network Configuration: Skilled in setting up network environments, routes, firewalls, access controls, and VPNs.AWS Virtual Environments: In-depth experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, ElastiCache, RDS, CloudFront, Transit Gateways, Security groups, routing, Route53, and S3.HA/DR Setup: Experience in setting up high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) environments.Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in AWS environment builds and orchestration using Terraform and Ansible.Environment Monitoring: Ability to configure and manage environment monitoring using tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, and Prometheus.Scripting and Programming: Strong skills in shell scripting and Python programming.Technical Documentation: Ability to create clear and comprehensive environment documentation and diagrams.PCI Compliance: Experience working in PCI compliant environments, ensuring adherence to security standards.Collaboration: leverage your strong interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with development teamsPersonal Attributes: Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.Proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.Stand out from the crowd: Experience working in Airline or Travel industry.Company Overview: Levarti is a company delivering elegant solutions to complex problems in the airline industry.
