The Development Policy Centre (Devpolicy) is a think tank for aid and development serving Australia, the region, and the global development community. We undertake independent research and promote practical initiatives to improve the effectiveness of Australian aid, to support the development of Papua New Guinea and the Pacific island region, and to contribute to better global development policy. We were established in September 2010 and are based at Crawford School of Public Policy in the College of Asia and the Pacific at The Australian National University. Our publications, discussion papers, policy briefs and reports make our research available for all. Our events are fora for the dissemination of findings and the exchange of information and ideas. The Devpolicy Blog is our platform for analysis, discussion and debate.
An exciting opportunity exists for a professional and highly motivated Program Officer to assist the Development Policy Centre with events, communications and administration.
You will be working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment where your effective and efficient administrative skills along with flexibility in your approach to work and attention to detail will ensure a smooth running of the Centre.
Responsibilities This position is responsible for a wide range of administrative tasks, including:
Marketing Events management Travel coordination Financial administration Website management Effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders is required. Problem-solving skills, in addition to strong verbal and written communication skills, will see you succeed in this position.
The Centre is looking for a Program Officer that can start immediately in our Canberra office on the Australian National University campus. A 12-month full-time contract may be offered to the right candidate.
