As our Device Management Specialist at St John WA, you'll be the heartbeat of our digital world, ensuring that every device, whether it's a desktop, smartphone, or tablet, works seamlessly and securely. Your expertise will empower our teams to serve the community with confidence, knowing they have the tools they need to provide critical care and support. From automating processes to protecting data, you'll be the architect behind a smooth, efficient, and secure IT environment, enabling St John WA to continue its mission of saving lives and building resilient communities.
This role is about ensuring the stability and security of the technology that supports our entire organisation. You'll manage software deployments, enforce security policies, and troubleshoot issues across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices. Using tools like MECM and Intune, you'll automate tasks, ensure devices are secure, and act as the expert for complex IT challenges. Your work will empower our teams to operate efficiently and securely, helping us continue our mission of serving the community.
What you'll do:

Implement solutions for the efficient management and maintenance of all endpoint IT devices on various operating systems, platforms and devices.
Configure devices to comply with corporate standards and policies.
Manage mobile devices (MDM) through Intune, ensuring that all devices meet compliance and security policies.
Use scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell) to automate repetitive tasks such as software deployments, reporting, and device configuration.
Continuously improve the efficiency and effectiveness of endpoint management processes.
Deploy, manage, and support corporate applications across all endpoint devices.
Act as a point of escalation for IT support teams for complex endpoint-related issues.
Implement security measures and configurations on endpoint devices to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.

What you'll need:

Proven experience in managing and maintaining endpoint devices in a corporate environment.
Proficiency in scripting languages (PowerShell, etc.).
Knowledge of software deployment and management, with experience with imaging and deployment tools.
Good problem solving, organisational skills and high attention to detail.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and network security.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Adaptable and able to learn new technologies quickly.
Knowledge of Microsoft products (Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS), and Teams).
Strong adherence to Change Management using ITIL supported frameworks.
Demonstrated experience using Windows Update for Business, Intune, MECM, Workspace ONE, Apple Business Manager, and Samsung Knox suite.
Extensive experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/Intune) and modern workplace tools for deploying and managing endpoint devices.
