Applications are invited for the position of Development Services Coordinator, based at Council's Administrative Centre. The Development Services Coordinator shall be responsible to the Manager Development Services for the day-to-day coordination, direction, and operation of Council's development and strategic planning functions.

Selection Criteria: Qualifications Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning, or other relevant and related qualifications or disciplines;NSW Class C Drivers Licence or equivalent;SafeWork NSW General Construction Induction card ('White Card'); Skills and Experience Experience resolving complex development matters involving a number of competing priorities and stakeholders;Demonstrated high level of ability to prepare and present reports and submissions of a complex and substantial nature and to formulate recommendations;Highly developed communication skills and demonstrated capacity to liaise, consult, negotiate with and advise a range of stakeholders on development related matters;Demonstrated skills and ability to undertake the process of researching, planning, organising and reporting within the specified time frames and with limited supervision;Demonstrated knowledge of Local Government Act 1993 and Regulations and the Environment Planning and Assessment Act and related Regulations applicable to the management and development of land within the Inverell Shire, and the ability to quickly gain a working knowledge of Inverell Shire Council's LEP and policies;Knowledge of computer systems including familiarity with work processing, Excel and the internet;Minimum 3 years experience in Planning and Development;Experience supervising and leading other staff;Experience in presenting development related matter to an elected Council. Employment will be in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Local Government (State) Award 2023.
