Our opportunity
As a Development Manager, you will work within the development management team to manage and deliver projects including taking responsibility for various aspects of financial and program delivery.
You will be dedicated to our Green Square project consisting of a mixed-use development conveniently located near the Green Square train station. The Green Square precinct is one of the largest urban renewal projects in Australia and when complete, this development will aim to deliver over 1,600 apartments, along with office and retail space and a substantial public domain within the Green Square Town Centre.
Your responsibilities are but not limited to: Manage project feasibility - single stage, multi-stages, JV models and all components of financial modelEstablish and manage budgets and cash flows accuratelyDevelop and manage commercial negotiationsManage and maintain positive and effective relationships with key stakeholders such as council, neighbouring developers, consultants and head contractors.Review and manage development programme and briefProvide advice and recommendations on relevant legal, regulatory and other industry mattersIdentify and manage risks and opportunities to optimise project outcomes, and know when to escalate to managementAbility to identify all aspects of development including identifying deficiencies, standardisation, innovation, revenue time and cost to extract maximum valuePossess a thorough understanding of the planning system and the ability to seek and obtain Development ApprovalsManage all components relating to the delivery of subdivision stagesYour point of difference
You will have 3-4 years' experience Development industry experience with strong commercial /legal/ financial acumen and solid understanding of the procurement, planning and tendering processes
You will have appropriate tertiary qualifications and sound decision-making, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills.
Finally, you will have ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and complexity, conflict resolution experience in project and people management and excellent Microsoft Suites skills.
