Ideally, you will have at least 5 years of experience delivering property projects of varying complexities from feasibility through design, construction, and final handover. You should be skilled at building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, as well as contractors, consultants, and industry networks. A proactive approach to problem-solving is essential, along with the ability to lead project teams and collaborate effectively with a wide range of people. While formal qualifications in Project Management, property, planning, or construction are desirable, your experience in this field is most important. You will also need a strong understanding of project and corporate governance, WHS policies, and the ability to manage risks throughout the development lifecycle.
What can you expect to be doing?As Development Manager, you'll be responsible for:
Leading and managing the delivery of property projects, ensuring they meet time, budget, and scope objectives.Preparing development briefs, business cases, and project documentation in close collaboration with customers and key stakeholders.Managing the selection and performance of consultants and contractors, negotiating contracts, and ensuring compliance with project goals.Overseeing construction phases, managing risks, and ensuring successful handover to customers, including managing defect periods.Contributing to strategic discussions about future property acquisitions and development opportunities.Ensuring compliance with environmental sustainability objectives and WHS requirements.What do you need to bring?Proven experience managing property development projects with a focus on built forms, including residential or commercial facilities with values ranging from $100k to $5m +.A collaborative, relationship-driven approach to managing consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.Experience in contract management, risk management, and identifying solutions to construction-related issues.The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and report against key performance indicators.Who is AnglicareSA?AnglicareSA, South Australia's leading social services provider, empowers over 60,000 individuals annually.
