This role will be based at our Sydney Head office on Castlereagh Street.We are seeking a resilient, adaptable and innovative Development Manager to join our Apartments team.
The successful candidate will manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered within cash flow and profit return benchmarks.
This role requires strong stakeholder engagement, strategic insight, and a commitment to fostering a high-performing, customer-focused team culture.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure projects align with Stockland's Development process, policies, vision, and profitability targets.Manage all aspects of project delivery, including finances, contracts, approvals, sales, marketing, risks, and opportunities.Foster a culture of design thinking, customer focus, and cross-divisional collaboration.Monitor market and competitor activity, implementing product changes to stay competitive.Improve the customer experience and manage customer issues professionally.Engage with stakeholders to enhance Stockland's image and reputation.Ensure Stakeholder, Community Development, and Environment plans are in place and actioned.Lead and implement the Residential Sustainability Policy, demonstrating Stockland's commitment to sustainability.Support and embed project management tools and processes.About YouYou will have proven experience in property development, ideally in Apartments, residential or mixed-use projects.In addition, you will have the following qualifications, skills and attributes:You will have an understanding across the full development cycleCommercial acumen, including forecasting, site assessment and feasibility analysisAdvanced ability to build relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholdersYou are a team player and enjoy working collaboratively and mentoring othersTertiary qualification in relevant fieldThe Stockland PropositionAt Stockland we are a community delivering outcomes that benefit the community at large.
