You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary team of professionals including Planners, Building Surveyors and Engineers to provide high level administration and customer support, and introduce innovative business practices that will enhance our customer's experience and take their customer journey to the next level.
Your key focus areas are;
Provide excellent customer service and contribute to service enhancement including liaising with all levels of management, elected representatives and the community, ensuring timely and courteous response to all correspondence Deliver high-level, comprehensive and professional administrative support services across the department including data entry, lodgement and determination of applications and certificates via electronic portals, preparation of correspondence and reports, word processing and maintaining records, documents and systems including the ability to deal with confidential information Process and review online applications and certificates via e-Portals for lodgement, referrals to external referral agencies and determination with a high degree of accuracy Coordinate, facilitate and provide administrative support for internal and external meetings as required, including preparation of meeting agendas and minute taking Provide administrative support for processing and reviewing online application lodgements via e-Portals for referrals to external referral agencies Our ideal candidate has previous experience working within the development industry. You have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to understand the perspective of all customers. You have a can-do attitude with previous experience working independently and managing competing deadlines whilst maintaining a high attention to detail.
You will bring;
Certificate IV or above in Business Administration and/or equivalent demonstrated administration experience Well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels whilst committing to delivering excellent customer service The ability to work to deadlines whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and be able to demonstrate organisational skills to meet competing demands Demonstrated experience in the facilitation of meetings involving a range of stakeholders and the ability to produce high quality and accurate minutes from these meetings Ability to exercise sound judgement and a high degree of problem solving, initiative and confidentiality LET'S REVEAL THE PERKS Competitive salary from $71,196 to $82,742 a year plus industry-leading 12 per cent superannuation Commencing salary set in line with skills and experience with annual reviews available to support movement through the salary range 3.5 per cent Enterprise Agreement pay rise effective 8 July 2024 35-hour working week with flexible working hours, hybrid work model and nine-day fortnight Join us at an exciting time in our department's growth and evolution to become the leading LGA of choice within the region Weekly pay We value your health and wellbeing and offer generous discounted gym memberships through our Corporate Fitness program, connect with colleagues through our social club, be inspired by regular wellbeing initiatives, annual flu vaccinations, and confidential support via our employee assistance (EAP) program We are committed to being an employer of choice.
