Desktop Motor Assessor

Join our high performing team as a Desktop Motor Assessor where you'll have the chance to make a significant impact and advance your career.
In this role, you will be assessing third party motor claims via desktop to determine fair and reasonable costs.
On a normal day, you will:

Inspect claims files and images to assess damage, determine loss extent, and get online quotations to authorise claim settlements within guidelines
Prepare assessments following organisational objectives, business guidelines, and the Code of Practice
Authorise costs and replacements based on the best value quotations and supervise the repair work quality
Handle disputed recoveries and settlements through expert review
Communicate outcomes and recommendations to department staff
Support colleagues to improve efficiencies and positively influence business and customer outcomes

About you:

Must have a trade qualification in Panel Beating or Spray Painting
Previous experience in assessing will be advantageous
Experience in the motor trade/industry
Adept at using computers and learning new systems or applications
Knowledge of conflict resolution processes
Strong time management and multitasking abilities
Professional written and verbal communication skills
A team player with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and resolution skills
