A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Designer or Design Manager overseeing a large womenswear portfolio. Wishing to join a strong brand with a large national retail presence and still growing. This business is poised for the next phase of its evolution and is currently going through a continued period of growth.
Managing a team of Designers across a variety of womenswear categories, it is a large portfolio and also a growth category for the company. The company is also open to a Strong Senior Designer with previous leadership experience keen to step into a strategic leadership role. Previous experience within a high volume business would be advantageous.
With a strong eye for trends and proven experience taking catwalk trends and creating commercial stories for a mass market customer.
Key Skills and Experience:
Experience operating at an established Design Manager or Senior Designer levelStrong experience managing product timelinesExperience building commercial profitable rangesImplementing direction and innovation for the season across shape, print, fabric and trimCommunicating effectively with all internal and external teamsOverseeing the development of all sampling ensuring deadlines are metPeople management and strong collaboration with the rest of the teamStrong hands-on department management experience; product development and critical path, supply base, trading, working cross-functionally with sales and production teamsManagement experience of direct reports would be ideal; training and developingStrong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management both internally and externallyMS Office and IT skills
