The Role This is an excellent opportunity for a Design Manager/Senior Design Manager to join our team in Melbourne, to manage a design team on some of the most exciting projects in Australia and worldwide.
A technical background in building services or a building services discipline (Electrical, mechanical, fire, hydraulics, Telecomm, Security) will be highly regarded.
The role would suit a highly competent multidisciplinary project leader or manager with experience leading large teams to enable delivery of technically sound projects to the client brief within challenging programmes.
The role would also suit a technically strong electrical or mechanical engineer, with design management aptitude looking to take the next step in their career with a global award winning engineering organisation.
Evidence of the development of managerial skills (including people management, financial and commercial management, marketing and business development) is essential.
The role will provide an opportunity to work across a variety of sectors on our major projects such as Data Centres/Critical Systems, Commercial, Aviation, Education, Healthcare, Master planning and retail.
There is also an opportunity to work closely with our APAC / Global based teams and the role will provide growth in business development and work winning to support career development.

The Skills Educated to degree level in Project Management, Engineering or Building Services Engineering (MEng or BEng or equivalent).
Experience in leading large data centers or critical systems as a design manager working for a lead consultant will be highly regarded.
You have experience of being a multidisciplinary project manager and have proven ability in overseeing creative design solutions. You have a passion for creative and intuitive design as well as hands-on experience of managing projects and client relationships.
Given the collaborative and client-focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills, project management skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
