Design Manager - Secondary Protection and Control for SubstationsLocation: Sydney, NSW (West)Sector: Power Generation & DistributionEmployment Type: Full-timeAbout the Role:We are seeking an experienced Design Manager with expertise in Secondary Protection and Control for high-voltage substations. This role will involve managing the end-to-end design processes, overseeing the creation of protection and control schemes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading a team of design engineers.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design of Secondary Systems for HV substations, focusing on protection and control schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout designs.Oversee the preparation of technical documents, including Single Line Diagrams, protection relay settings, and control room layouts.Ensure the compliance of designs with relevant industry standards.Coordinate with key stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and project teams, to deliver projects on time and within budget.Manage quality assurance processes, conducting peer reviews, and ensuring adherence to technical specifications.Support the integration of new technologies and innovation into existing substation systems.Provide leadership and mentorship to junior design engineers and drafters.Qualifications & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Engineering.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in Secondary Protection and Control design for substations.Expertise in the design of protection systems.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple design projects simultaneously.Strong communication and leadership skills to liaise with clients and regulatory bodies.How to ApplyClick APPLY or contact Tom Millington on for a confidential discussion.Evolve Talent is committed to providing equal opportunities for all.
