Design Manager

We are assisting a Commercial Construction firm, renowned for delivering exceptional large-scale retail, educational, and activity centre projects. Their Commercial Construction division is at the forefront of innovation, quality, and sustainability in the industry. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Design Manager to join their team and lead the design efforts on their flagship projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee the design process from concept to completion for large-scale retail, educational, and activity centre projects.Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure design integrity and project goals are met.Manage the development of design plans, ensuring they adhere to budget, timeline, and regulatory requirements.Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to ensure high-quality deliverables.Facilitate effective communication and coordination between project teams, clients, and consultants.Identify and mitigate design risks, addressing any issues promptly to keep projects on track.Stay current with industry trends, innovations, and best practices to continually improve design processes and outcomes.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 7 years of experience in design management within the commercial construction industry.Proven track record of managing large-scale retail, educational, and activity centre projects.Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and project management tools.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
