We are seeking an energetic, collaborative professional with leadership qualities, high attention to detail, great time management skills and excellent communication to join our growing Architecture team as Design Manager on a full-time basis in our office in Sydney CBD.
Key elements of this role include: Work on multi-residential and mixed-use building projects.Liaise with and coordinate team members, consultants, builders and other relevant stakeholders to ensure projects are running smoothly - on time and within budget.Lead the design team in the successful delivery of the design process through comprehensive interaction with the Client, Consultants, relevant Authorities, construction team and other stakeholders.Select, engage and manage consultants and coordinate the documentation process with consultants, ensuring all relevant aspects of their duties are completed correctly.Hand over documentation to the construction team and assist them during construction on design queries.Manage clients during the design and construction process.Review detailed designs, Development Consent and other official documents.Ensure all plans adhere to the Australian Standards and reflect best practice.Provide quality assurance checks to ensure standards are met.Skills and Experience Minimum 8 years' experience in a Design Manager role for a builderHigh level of experience in multi-residential and mixed-use design and construction (essential)Relevant Architectural qualification essential and Registered Architects are preferredIn-depth construction knowledge with good documentation and on-site experience (important)Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workloads and projects at one timeStrong under pressure - you will be dealing with and working collaboratively with site staff, builders, senior internal staff and external stakeholdersSolid knowledge of Revit is a requirement, with working knowledge of Photoshop and InDesignExcellent communication skills in order to interpret project and client specific requirementsHave a good understanding of planning controls (NSW & QLD) and building regulations (BCA / NCC and relevant Australian Standards).Experience with the DA/CDC phase, CC and CD phase as well as the Construction & Delivery PhaseIn your application, please clearly indicate your experience with Multi-res / Mixed use developments. It would be an advantage if you have a portfolio to send us upon request.
This is a full-time role working 5 days a week in our CBD Head Office. You must have full-time, permanent working rights in Australia to be eligible for this position.
