Your Role and ResponsibilitiesIBM is seeking a Design Lead to join our design practice in Perth and work embedded within one of our clients in a squad doing design delivery.
As part of our practice, you'll both be leading & coaching designers, coaching what great looks like, as well as producing work yourself.
A successful candidate will be an organized go-getter with solid experience creating end-to-end experiences that span physical and digital interactions.

Key ResponsibilitiesFrame user & process questions, create plans to address those, conduct research, and synthesize the findings into meaningful, actionable insights for clients to help them understand how to achieve their business goals and objectives.Guide people through a design process, even those that have not done it before.
Comfortable facilitating working sessions to reach outcomes and be able to articulate the "why" behind design activities to reach business goals.Structure information into artefacts like blueprints, journey maps and user flows to allow other squad members to collaborate and aid the storytelling the desired experience to stakeholders.Facilitating the collective understanding of the end-to-end, front-to-back experience by mapping the orchestration of events at the intersection of technology, business and design.Aid in business development, managing demand signals for design services and input into scoping discussions so that it can be delivered right.Candidates must also present a Portfolio to demonstrate their ability. Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseKey Qualities/skills to be successful in this role:Passionate about making complex things simple, working with multiple data points & systems doesn't make you shy away, but lean in and ask "why" and "how might we make this easier".
Exuding a "let's solve this" attitude and love collaborating with others to get there together.You can synthesise different viewpoints and visualise a concept to bring an idea to life.
Whether through storyboards, wireframes or a simple sketch to make people see it and believe it.
Bringing people together is one of your specialities.You are a great storyteller, able to explain your problem-solving process as well as comfortable using numbers to quantify the impact an initiative delivers to both users and the business.
You don't shy away from metrics and can think on the spot to tell a good narrative.Additional Skills:6+ years working in Service Design, User Experience Design or organisational design departments.
The focus for this role will be in Service Design & UX – UI would be a stretch.Professional or University-based design experience with a portfolio representing design artifacts and associated projects.Demonstrated accountability and adaptability with willingness to readily and voluntarily take ownership of highly challenging tasks and problems, even beyond initial scope of responsibility.A passion for innovative ideas, coupled with the ability to understand and assimilate different points of view.Preferred Technical and Professional ExpertiseN/A
