We currently have an opportunity for a Design Coordinator to join our team. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities.
We are seeking candidates to be part of our team on the redevelopment project, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga. Reporting to the Design Manager, this role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:
Ensure that the design activities are properly coordinated in respect to inter-discipline and functional interface issues.Review designs in line with statutory and legislative, construction and operational requirements.Facilitate the resolution of any design issues from a technical and/or construction perspective.Monitor any design issues which may arise out of defect rectification, value engineering or interface with external bodies.Review and arrange construction support including design team inspection and supervision as required.Monitor and assist in any Design Change Requests.This is a site-based role in Wagga Wagga area and would suit those who have recently completed an Engineering degree and looking to further their career in the Construction industry.
What you'll bring Australian citizenship is preferred for Defence site access requirements.Design experience in related field.Experience with interpretation and application of contracts.Knowledge of safety and environmental legislation.Good written and verbal communication skills.Analytical, negotiation and interpersonal skills.Industry and or project induction in accordance with legislation.More than anything, you'll have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a drive to provide high quality outcomes for the Social Infrastructure and Citizen Services business unit and our clients.
