Derrickhands - Onshore Gas

The Role MinRes Energy is looking for experienced Derrickhands for the MinRes 100% owned LOC400 drilling rig.
Ideally commencing as soon as possible this is a brand-new role joining our Energy team on a 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off roster. The Derrickhands operate & maintain rig machinery, equipment, fluids circulating system while ensuring all aspects of safety requirements are in compliance.
Prepare and test all mud circulating equipment.Supervise repairs and installation of replacement parts to mud pumps and associated equipment.Monitors mud pumps, mud volume, mud properties and pit levels as directed and advise driller of losses or gains.Support the driller in operating and monitoring all mud circulating systems and equipment to deliver the well as per the established drilling program.Clean and inspect mud tanks as required.Assist crew on rig floor in make up of tubulars, tools and equipment.Assists in make up and running casing to predetermined depth.Assist in cementing operations and cementing subcontractor as directed.What you will bring to the team 2 years experience as a Derrickhand working on super single hydraulic drilling rigsExperience in onshore rig operationsCurrent First aid certificateWorking at heights / Confined SpacePreferable onshore drilling certificateGood communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of drilling operations and equipmentWorking knowledge of Australian safety standards and regulationsAnd then there's the extra benefits We look after our people because they're the ones looking after our business.That means a range of additional benefits for choosing MinRes including:
