Division: Independent Public School - South Metropolitan Education Region
Salary: Level 3, $132,143 - $144,601 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2023)
This is a 12 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency. The successful applicant will work in a team of experienced leaders and be responsible for defined individual portfolios and will collaborate to ensure whole school synergy across these. They should draw on their expertise in working with children with varying abilities and diagnoses to facilitate appropriate planning and support in the classroom and across the school.
Experience in developing strategic plans and the capacity to design and implement change management within an organisation is highly desired. A recent improvement agenda at the school will mean the role will require the successful applicant to support initiatives in place and strengthen teacher leaders in the school.
The successful applicant will lead the school's student services team. The ability to draw on experience within this area would be beneficial as would the capacity to coordinate staff and intervention as appropriate. As the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Team mentor, the successful applicant will support the PBS team in embedding the existing practice across the school to create a culturally inclusive environment with high expectations.
Shared teacher efficacy is a foundation element of our instructional model. The role will include a teaching component, reflecting our commitment to modelling best practices in education. This strongly aligns with the school's improvement focus and mantra of "even better if...". It will provide the foundation to work with staff to develop exceptional practice throughout the school through modelling, observation, feedback and coaching.
