Our team uncovers data-driven insights and brings data-centric perspectives to strategic decisions.What you'll doLead collaboration across a variety of product and business problems with a diverse set of partnersBe a trusted strategic partner to executive leadershipBuild, structure, and grow a talented team of Data Scientists to identify and help solve the business' biggest challenges through analysisWork with complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approachesApply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, and the presentation of data to develop strategies for our productsDefine, understand, and test opportunities to improve the product, and guide roadmaps through recommendationsYour background15+ Years of Experience in Data Science or related fields8+ years of experience managing teams, including as a manager of managersExperience scaling and developing a team of data scientists, with individual contributor to director-level direct reportsPrior demonstrated experience working in and reviewing code in SQL and at least one other data science programming language (i.e. Python, R)Expertise in applying a broad variety of statistical concepts (e.g. regressions, A/B tests, clustering) to business problems and a sense of when to adapt/combine approaches to suit the problem at hand.Experience influencing business strategy and driving change across organizational boundaries through clear and compelling communication of data-driven insights and analysesIt's great, but not required if you have:Experience building trusted advisor relationships with senior executives.Comfort with structuring and coaching others to work through open-ended business questions through analyticsExperience partnering in Product Growth and building product led growth capabilitiesExperience working in a business that focused on SaaS and Enterprise productsExperience in building and scaling an experimentation cultureCompensationAt Atlassian, we strive to design equitable and explainable compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience.In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones.
