Job Description ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY: Reporting directly to the Principal, this is one of the key leadership roles in the School. Working closely with the Principal, Executive, and Senior Leadership Teams, the Deputy Principal leads across St Paul's School, overseeing the educational programmes. The successful candidate will play a significant role in developing, promoting, resourcing, and managing a dynamic learning community that embraces the challenges of both the present and the future. The position requires a person with initiative, capable of responding independently to the needs of SPS and, through the Principal, its governing body. Along with the Principal, Executive, and Senior Leadership Teams, the Deputy Principal drives the SPS's strategic vision and ensures the School remains a learning community where excellence in student learning and wellbeing is at the centre, nurturing growth, belonging, and personal excellence. This role would commence in January 2025 on an initial contract of 5 years, with a further contract subject to satisfactory performance in the role. Desired Skills and Experience ABOUT YOU: To be successful in this role, you will have: Minimum of a Masters degree in Education and current full registration with Queensland College of Teachers. Demonstrated expertise in developing and implementing effective wellbeing and Pastoral Care Programs. Demonstrated experience and high-level skills in educational leadership, preferably in a similar Anglican School. Strong leadership, staff management and mentoring skills with an ability to encourage positive staff morale and create a cohesive team. Solid understanding of staff management practices.
