This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025Mullewa District High School (MDHS) is seeking a passionate, highly motivated, collaborative and innovative Deputy Principal to provide educational leadership across the school with a focus on student engagement and secondary pathways.Mullewa is located only 99 kilometres east-northeast of Geraldton where there is ample shopping, restaurants, beaches and other social opportunities.

Specifically, you will ideally demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills with students, parents and staff, and the ability to develop and maintain positive and effective partnerships with external agencies, and members of the community.
You will be responsible for supporting Teachers and students with a positive behaviour approach, engaging students with clear pathways.
The successful applicant will continually drive improvement by providing proactive leadership that is collaborative, inspiring and supportive.
Leading by example, you will model high aspirations and expectations of all staff and students.Our focus is to create a safe and calm environment, and you will need to have excellent knowledge and able to support staff with implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and CMS approaches as well as the capacity to work with complex case management.
There is an additional focus on establishing a clear pathway of individual student aspiration through all years of compulsory secondary schooling (Years 7 to 12) through a case management, culturally responsive, wrap-around support model to assist each student to achieve to their potential.Additionally, we are looking for someone who has a sound knowledge of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework and understands the need to be culturally responsive.Our school has a high Aboriginal student population; our students are excellent sports people, amazing artists or creatives and thrive on having positive relationships with our staff.
