Level 3, $125,850 - $137,715 per annum (pro-rata) (SEA GA 2021)This is a 6 month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 1, 2025 with possible extension and/or permanency.Halls Creek District High School (DHS) is seeking a vibrant and skilled Deputy Principal for our ECE group (K-2). This is a challenging and rewarding role, where you will use your strong interpersonal and leadership skills to achieve the school's vision and goals to meet the needs of a diverse school community.Halls Creek DHS is located in the Kimberley Region, between Broome and Kununurra. The students come from town and a number of local Aboriginal Communities within a 50km radius. There are 5 local language groups, the 3 most commonly spoken include Jaru, Kija, and Gooniyandi. Kriol is also universally spoken across the Kimberley region.Halls Creek DHS is a school in the Kimberley Schools Project. This Project is focused on improving the literacy and numeracy skills of the pre-primary to Year 2 students through the Targeted Teaching methodology. You will be required to continue to support the implementation of the Project in the school, and support the growth and development of strategies to improve learning, attendance, and engagement.The successful applicant will ideally have strong curriculum knowledge, be dedicated to optimising outcomes in all learning areas, and committed to developing and mentoring staff. In addition, they will ideally maintain a school culture that promotes positive high expectation relationships and engage parents and the wider community in an authentic partnership in the educational work of the school.Ideally, the successful applicant will possess a commitment to continuous school improvement, including building networks with other agencies and services in the community.
