The Role
Broome North Primary School (PS) is seeking an experienced and dedicated Deputy Principal committed to achieving the highest educational outcomes for our students.
We are looking for a high-calibre leader with proven team skills who can work closely with the principal, school leadership team, staff, and students.
The ideal candidate will comprehensively understand the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the K-6 curriculum in Western Australia.
Expertise in practical pedagogical approaches, assessment and reporting practices, and behaviour management techniques is essential.

We seek a leader who is well-versed in the roles and responsibilities associated with early childhood education (ECE) and can ensure the curriculum aligns with the highest standards.
Staying updated on educational trends and research, with a focus on integrating technology to enhance learning experiences, is highly valued in this role.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with Department of Education policies, overseeing administrative processes and curriculum alignment, and demonstrating recent skills and experience in Department of Education and school system administration, particularly in key platforms such as Reporting to Parents, Census, NAPLAN, NQS, AEDC, On Entry, and school self-review processes.
The role also involves managing staff development, performance management, and engaging with key stakeholders, as well as supporting and overseeing school operations and activities, including assemblies, carnivals, events, excursions, and incursions.
Additionally, the Deputy Principal will liaise with the school board, parents, and citizens' groups.
The successful candidate should ideally be highly organised and have effective planning and project management skills.
Proficiency in inclusive education practices and a deep understanding of diverse backgrounds, particularly for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and disadvantaged students, is desirable.
