Deputy Principal - Coomera State Special School Coomera State Special School have an exciting opportunity for a passionate permanent Deputy Principal to join the team.Coomera State Special School supports learners across years Prep to Year 12 in the growing area of Coomera. Aligned to these values, the vision for the school supports the following statements -A culture of high expectations with a strong belief that every student can learn when provided with a dynamic and fun learning environment that supports the individual needs of all studentsComprehensive Literacy, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) are our signature pedagogies used to enact the Australian CurriculumIntentional collaborative practices, data-based decision making and feedback is the way of working for all staffStrong commitment to family and community engagement is a key focus of the schoolAbout YouThe Deputy Principal will be passionate about driving a collaborative culture of learning and supporting middle leaders, teachers, and support staff to best meet the needs of our students, through a culture of collegial engagement and feedback. They will work collaboratively with the Principal in leading staff to develop their knowledge and skills to drive school improvement, focusing on improving student outcomes.As a lead learner, they will need to have a strong relational capability to quickly develop positive relationships between students, staff and the wider school community. They will have well developed strategic thinking and analytical skills to contribute to our school improvement agenda with strong organisational skills.Experience as a Deputy Principal or curriculum leader is sought, with demonstrated experience in enacting the Australian Curriculum across a P-12 context, and capability in leading people to enact the pedagogies of Comprehensive Literacy and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) as well as supporting the needs of students with complex communication through Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).As the Deputy Principal you will:Improve the educational outcomes of students in their schoolsDevelop the quality of teaching and learningNurture positive relationships between students, teachers, the community and stakeholders.The Deputy Principal reports to the school Principal.Interested?
