They perform an integral role in the development of ANZ infrastructure across mining and resources, transport and power markets.Join one of the top players in the hydropower and renewable energies market and contribute to shaping the mega trend decarbonization!THE ROLEThe Deputy General Site Manager is responsible for the safe and smooth operation of the construction site of Snowy electrical and mechanical scope (Turbines, Generators, Hydraulic Steel Structures, BoPe and BoPm). Managing and coordinating all related tasks to build, commission and hand-over the hydro power plant as per contract requirements and within schedule and budget. You are the prime person of contact towards the client for all daily site operations, managing stakeholders and proactively coordinating the site activities with internal and external parties.As a strong leader, you will align an international site team in a mega construction project based on transparent project goals. Located on the construction Site in Cooma and reporting to the Local Project Director your responsibilities include;RESPONSIBILITIESAssure everyone commits to the HSE culture. Monitor, document and report HSE activities.Overall leadership of the Hydro Construction Site.Establish all site processes and practices as per contract requirements, company standards, local regulations and leading project management practices such as earned value analysis and KPIs.Establish and maintain close relationship and regular communication with the customer, union representatives and stakeholders.Fulfil site contractual requirements and negotiate effectively with the client in order to achieve customer satisfaction and to respect the best interests of the company (commercial / contractual topics to be escalated and decided by Local Project Director).Establish the schedule to meet agreed internal and external milestones and ensure proper work planning to allow critical path to be followed.Document, control and assess site status regarding costs and progress, establish mitigation or recovery plan for cost overruns or schedule delays.Identify / quantify, communicate and align on the risks and chances with the local project team and the Local Project Director.Coordinate site activities (HSE, Quality, Production, Technical support, Site Services, Contract, Administration) and manage work across the site team members.Support the site team with HSE processes, short and medium term work planning, engineering / installation procedures and any other field supervision tasks.EDUCATIONEngineering degree (Civil or Mechanical).Project Management degree (MBA, P.
