Position Summary:
As the Deputy Manager, you will be a key member of the senior leadership team, overseeing overall operations and driving sales across the venue.
This role requires a proactive leader who can motivate and guide staff to deliver consistent performance and growth in their respective areas.
Your primary focus will be on implementing processes and standard operating procedures that align with our company culture, vision, and financial goals.
Working closely with the Head Chef and consulting department heads, you'll address operational and strategic challenges, provide insights based on financial analysis and projections, and contribute to the development of efficient, profitable practices.
Key Responsibilities: Compliance with Liquor Licensing Laws: Ensure the venue adheres to all alcohol sale and service regulations, including maintaining necessary licenses and training staff in Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA). Safety and Security: Manage the safety of the premises, oversee security staff, ensure compliance with fire safety standards, and implement measures to prevent incidents. Building Partnerships and Networks: Cultivate relationships with local businesses, event organizers, and tourism operators to create cross-promotional opportunities. Financial Management: Oversee budgeting, financial reporting, rostering, and profitability.
This includes managing pricing strategies and controlling expenses to meet financial goals. Event & Live Music Planning: Lead the planning and execution of events and live music sessions, enhancing the guest experience. Ambiance Management: Monitor and adjust the ambiance (e.g., music, lighting, temperature) to maintain a comfortable environment for guests. Venue Presentation: Ensure the venue and staff maintain high professional standards in appearance and demeanor. Service Standards: Uphold high standards of product knowledge, venue knowledge, and sequence of service. Feedback and Complaints Management: Handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction. Revenue Focus: Drive initiatives to maximize revenue and ensure the venue's financial success.
