Located in the hub of medical precinct in Parkville, MelbournePermanent Full Time (80hrs w ADO or 76hrs no ADO/Fortnight) PositionAbout the role The Deputy Director of Psychology - Clinical Psychology is a senior leader and manager who is a resource to all of RCH with respect to psychological practice, capacity building of the psychology workforce, and representation of RCH psychology staff at relevant internal and external forums. This role supports an integrated approach to high quality and efficient delivery of services. The Deputy Director of Psychology plays a key role in the leadership of the discipline of Psychology at RCH, and consults closely with other senior psychologists at RCH, including the Deputy Director of Psychology - Neuropsychology, the Principal Clinical Educator - Psychology, and the Director of Psychology.
This is a full-time ongoing role. The classification is Grade 5 (TT16) (weekly salary $3,224.70 + allowances and superannuation).
Your Skills and Experience An accredited Master or Doctoral qualification in clinical psychology recognised by Psychology Board of Australia. (Note - Master of Professional Psychology qualification does not meet this criterion)General registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (Board)Hold an Area of Practice Endorsement with the Board in clinical psychologyBoard-approved supervisor status, including Board approval as a 'Registrar Program Principal Supervisor'Extensive (at least 10 years) post-qualification (higher-degree) experience as a psychologistHigh-level, specialised skills in clinical practice (at least 5 years) in paediatric clinical psychologyExperience providing clinical supervision to staff and post-graduate students completing clinical placementsDemonstrated experience as a manager of clinical staff in a health settingAbout the Department: The Psychology Department provides clinical services, clinical governance, and educational and professional leadership to psychologists across all RCH teams and specialities. The Psychology Department provides clinical services for children and young people aged 0-18 years, and their families and carers, via the Clinical Psychology Team and the Clinical Neuropsychology Team. The department's Psychology Education Team coordinates psychology education across RCH, including clinical supervision and registrar training.
