The Package:
$170,000 gross per annum + 11.5% super (incl.
of market premium allowance, evaluated as Grade 19 of the QPRC Salary System 2024) and a guaranteed increase of 3% in 2025-26, plus potential performance-based progression.
Full-time – 35 hours per week.
Flexible work arrangements will be considered for this role.
Are you an experienced leader in finance and looking for a new challenge in an operationally diverse local government organisation?
In this role you will:
Build an engaged and high performing team of finance professionals to achieve agreed outcomes by leading, mentoring and motivating them.
Contribute constructively to Council's transformation journey towards becoming a modern future focused LGA envisaged for QPRC.
Develop a budget management framework to train and inform users across Council who can access information relevant to their particular requirements and decision-making authority.
Deliver consistent, quality-assured, accurate and timely reporting on financial matters that supports both strategic and day to day decisions.
We are looking for someone who:
Has tertiary qualifications in accounting, business, commerce, or related field with CA/CPA qualification.
Has extensive senior level experience in strategic financial management.
Previous experience in local government financial management will be highly regarded.
Has leadership and management skills with an ability to manage and develop staff in a positive manner and promote a cohesive and effective work environment.
