Role Overview:
The Deputy CEO is a central Executive leadership role, working closely with the CEO and Executive team. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide high-level support and advice, represent New Horizons in the CEO's absence, and implement organisational objectives, policies and strategies.
Key Responsibilities: Lead and contribute to organisational culture and values.Provide strategic advice and reports to the CEO and the Board.Deputise for the CEO and support day-to-day management and at Board meetings.Provide leadership to the Executive Leadership Team.Foster a cohesive team and positive work environment.Support Board and committee work.Implement strategic planning, policy development, and organisational change.Develop and audit policies and procedures.Ensure legal and statutory compliance.Offer specialist advice for high-quality program delivery.Build relationships across the sector and government.Oversee financial planning and management.Drive business efficiency and continuous improvement.About You: To excel in this role, you will need:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive industry experience.Strong cross-functional background with diverse business experience.High-level executive competence and ability to manage organisational complexity.Strong financial and business experience, including budgeting and financial operations.Proactive, supportive, and inclusive leadership style.Advanced competency in working with people with disabilities and/or mental illness.Advanced understanding of risk management and compliance.Innovative problem-solving skills and resilience under pressure.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Expert knowledge of business processes, including budgeting and financial reporting.Make an impact: your leadership will directly transform lives and communities.
