Below is a brief description of this vacancy This page outlines the vacancy and the key skills and responsibilities for the role.Reference: This is a great opportunity to help stand up our new depot, brand new EV fleet and most importantly our driving team in West Auckland and then be an integral part of the ongoing delivery of West Auckland to City public bus services on behalf of Auckland Transport from the end of April 2025.This is a full time, permanent role.
The hours are primarily Monday to Friday with an understanding that the depot functions 7 days a week, and the successful applicant will need to ensure suitable oversight is in place at all times via the operations supervisors.You will have your Class 4 licence and experience of driving large vehicles.
Experience in providing operational support, working with Auckland Transport and within the transport industry will be highly regarded.We will be operating from a temporary site in Westgate while our new depot and workshop is being built in Spedding Road.You will be responsible for:Supporting the day-to-day delivery of urban bus services in West Auckland which includes rostering our fleet and drivers.Supporting our client relationship with Auckland Transport.Liaising with our workshop team for fleet management and maintenance requirements.Liaising with our driver training team.Ensuring that the depot is safe, clean and efficiently utilised at all times.Leading a team of operational dispatch supervisors.To be successful you should have:Proven experience leading an operations team; we will require that you lead from the front.Strong communication and organisational skills.Proficient skills in computer systems and applications.A commitment to safety regulations and high operational standards.An excellent knowledge of the public transport sector and, ideally, experience working with Auckland Transport.What we can offer:Salary range $90,000 - $100,000 per annum.Career growth opportunities within our wider group.Supportive team environment to set you up for success.Learning and development opportunities.About us:Tranzurban Auckland is part of the Tranzit Group.
