Dependency Manager Work Arrangement: Hybrid possibleWork with: Large federal government departmentLocation: CanberraStart date: Nov 2024About the Role You will collate all assumptions, risks and issues and act as a conduit between business areas and the ICT Division for all project/program work.
Responsibilities Identifying and managing dependencies across the department and external agencies.Coordinating relevant stakeholder meetings to progress and inform on dependencies.Scheduling identified dependencies across Program Increments for executive consumption.Reporting on dependencies and their respective progress through the Program Increment.Escalating to Release Train Engineers when dependencies are not progressing as expected.Forecasting potential work being scheduled and the possible dependencies.Undertaking relevant analysis and engagement for early external team visibility.Maintaining the off-train dependency Confluence site.Essential Criteria Proven ability to identify and manage dependencies across various agencies to ensure seamless project execution and collaboration.Experience in coordinating stakeholder meetings and efficiently managing project dependencies to ensure all parties remain aligned.Ability to present and schedule identified dependencies across Program Increments in a clear and concise manner for executive consumption.Ability to report consistently on dependencies and their respective progress throughout the Program Increment, providing accurate and timely updates.Ability to proactively escalate issues to Release Train Engineers when dependencies are not progressing as anticipated, ensuring swift resolution.Strong forecasting skills to proactively identify potential tasks and dependencies and facilitate engagement with external teams for visibility and analysis.Desirable Criteria Experience working in a large organisation similar to the department.10 years of experience in managing dependencies across multiple programs of work.Prior experience in ICT Delivery / Release Management.Eligibility: Due to the nature of the role, Australian citizenship with Baseline clearance is required.
