The Department of Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant to join their team in Rehabilitation at the Mersey Community Hospital.
The Team: The Rehabilitation Service Unit consists of a highly skilled and knowledgeable multidisciplinary team dedicated to enhancing patients' functional and cognitive abilities to improve independence and quality of life. We use an individualised patient-centred approach that aims to meet the goals and outcomes mutually identified by the individual, their family, and therapy staff.
The Role: The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Rehabilitation will work within an Acute/Primary Health Care Framework, Agency policies, legal requirements, and professional competencies and will:
Provide professional advanced clinical leadership and expertise in the delivery of clinical advice, assessments, and interventions based on best practices in the health care management of people requiring rehabilitation services from the multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Team. Undertake a broad consultative role by initiating and maintaining a comprehensive network with community and support groups and professional associates, developing professional collaborative linkages with other health professionals across the acute and community sectors, working as part of the multidisciplinary Rehabilitation Team and in close collaboration with patients, allied health staff, and specialists. Implement evidence-based practices through teaching, research, policy and protocol development, and through direct example within the practice setting. Details of Appointment: Fixed term, part-time, day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing from February 2025 until January 2026 (hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant).
Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 pro rata, per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2023 . Access to the Grade 4 salary range $99,455- $105,995 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type.
