About the Role: As a Principal Consultant in the Performance Support Team, you will utilise your HR partnering and case management skills in providing a high quality and supportive HR/IR service to an allocated portfolio of sites and people leaders across the Department. An advocate for procedural fairness and with a human-centric approach, your primary focus will be on supporting leaders in effectively managing unsatisfactory performance and conduct concerns, as well as addressing non-compensable incapacity which may be impacting on an employee's ability to carry out the inherent requirements of the role.
Whilst working in a supportive and collaborative team environment, this role has the scope for you to deliver on continuous improvement initiatives while also providing a level of independence whereby you can pro-actively partner with your sites and leaders in the achievement of positive outcomes for our schools, employees and students. Members of the Performance Support Team are required to maintain high levels of confidentiality, professionalism and ethical conduct. The work can be intensive, time pressured, challenging and at times politically sensitive – but as a supportive and engaging team, we achieve great things.
Qualifications: Desirable: Relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Human Resources or similar.
Special Conditions: The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration: ASO7 $108,109 - 116,864 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
