Dentist (Remuneration Package Range $142,092 - $155,535) Senior Dentist (Remuneration Package Range $171,837 - $196,194) Oral Health Service Central Australia Alice Springs Northern Territory Ongoing vacancy available The Oral Health Service in Central Australia (OHSCA) provides a range of oral health services, community education programs, and targeted services to clients with chronic diseases and special needs. OHSCA is accredited with the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards and collaborates with the Menzies School of Health Research and the Australian Research Centre for Population Oral Health in multi-centre research programs. Dental Officers at OHSCA provide quality oral health clinical services in accordance with OHSCA agreed policies, protocols, and procedures. They will provide high-quality comprehensive clinical services to eligible client groups, both adults and children, in urban, rural, and remote areas and maintain accurate and complete electronic client records. OHSCA utilizes a primary health care approach to oral health care, including engagement of clients in treatment planning and the promotion of effective self-care. Senior dentists actively contribute as members of the oral health team, including the supervision of students, provision of advice to other staff, and participation in service planning, development, and evaluation. Clinicians are also required to continuously develop and maintain a high level of clinical knowledge, skills, and competence in acute and primary oral health care. They must actively participate in professional development activities and Continuous Quality Improvements (CQI) programs and foster a positive workplace culture through exemplary leadership practices and role modeling behavior. Follow defined service quality standards, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies, and procedures relating to the work being undertaken in order to ensure high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
