Position Overview We are seeking a new graduate dentist to join our established 4-chair practice, starting January 2025. This role is ideal for a clinician eager to expand their skills in general and high-end dentistry while receiving mentorship from experienced professionals.
Operating Days / Hours:Mon: 08:30 - 17:00Tues: 08:30 - 17:00Wed: 08:30 - 17:00Thurs: 08:30 - 19:00Fri: 08:30 - 17:00Sat: 08:30 - 13:00Rooms: 4Practice Management Software: Dental 4 WindowsLocation: Upper Ross Medical Centre, Townsville, near Ross River and the Upper Ross Dam.Client Demographics: Includes children, families, seniors, with a high rate of emergenciesParking: Free on-site parking directly outside the clinic.Dental Assistants: Young, fast-paced team.Other Support Staff: Long-standing receptionist with extensive company background.Dental Hygienists / Oral Health Therapists: NoneClinicians: 2 General Dentists with over 20 years of combined experience.Practice Setup Clinical Imaging: Standard x-ray imaging.CAD / CAM: None.Microscopes: None.Surgical Devices: 1 contra-angle surgical handpiece.Endo Handpieces: Providers supply their own.Anesthesia / Sedation: No current sedation, but open to Nitrous Oxide.Responsibilities: Provide high-quality dental care to patients.Diagnose and treat oral diseases, injuries, and malformations of teeth and gums.Perform routine cleanings, extractions, fillings, and other dental procedures.Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care.Collaborate with a team of dental professionals to ensure optimal patient care.Qualifications: Excellent communication skills with both patients and your support team.Passion to learn and develop new skills expanding scope of works to Orthodontics.Hold unrestricted AHPRA registration and professional indemnity insurance (or able to obtain).Ability to work within Australia.As Australasia's largest dental support organisation (DSO), Abano Healthcare is your team behind the practice.
