We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our Prosthodontic team at Southern Dental Specialists and Implant Centre.
We are conveniently located in the heart of Wollongong with on-site parking.
We specialise in prosthodontics and periodontics, which includes restorative procedures, crown & bridge, full mouth restorations, All on X implant surgery, and bone & gum grafting procedures.
Training will be provided by our friendly and knowledgeable team.
Our treatments make a big difference to patients' lives, and our whole team is involved in delivering a high standard of patient care.
The position will involve:Assisting our prosthodontists and periodontists during procedures, including examinations, surgeries, and complex restorative procedures (smile makeovers).Sterilising instruments and dental materials in compliance with infection control protocols.Taking radiographs/photographs and intraoral scans as needed.Educating patients about procedures and post-operative care.Managing patient records, including consultation and progress notes.Maintaining a clean and organised clinical environment, adhering to all safety and regulatory guidelines.Participating in continuing education and training to stay updated on the latest prosthodontic procedures and technologies.Our ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in dental assisting with a good knowledge of chairside assisting, sterilisation, maintenance of stock, and infection control procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and maintain relationships with patients.Strong work ethic, professionalism, and the ability to take pride in their work.The ability to be a team player and show consideration to colleagues and patients.The ability to work either individually or in a team in a fast-paced environment.Well presented, friendly, organised, and reliable, with attention to detail.Certificate III in Dental Assisting is preferred.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a dental nurse or assistant?Have you completed a qualification in dental assisting?Do you have customer service experience? #J-18808-Ljbffr
