Job Description About the role As a key member of the ATSICHS Brisbane team, the Dental Assistant is expected to personally contribute to the shaping and achievement of ATSICHS vision and goals within their own scope. They will support dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, reprocessing instruments, supporting patients through the procedure, providing adequate evacuation of oral fluids and retraction of soft tissues, preparation and passing of materials and instruments, and performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Act. Educate patients by giving oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions. The Dental Assistant will support processes that ensure the delivery of dental care is performed within the highest quality. Included activities involve CQI, contributing to policy implementation, audits and reporting of clinical incidents. Support fellow staff in a team environment to build collegiality and a sense of belongingness within the team and ATSICHS family. Staff will actively participate in team activities and contribute to a flourishing workplace culture that promotes the ethos and values of ATSICHS Brisbane as a long-standing Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation . 
We are looking for Part Time Dental Assistant at Logan Dental Clinic and Full Time at Woolloongabba Dental  Clinic.
Duties  Provide quality support with best-practice Chair side assisting. Ensure quality control of dental equipment. Professional Accountabilities working in accordance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements. Contribute to a positive working environment to achieve results consistent with workplace values. Cultivate productive working relationships at all levels, which support the nurturing of internal and external relationships, facilitates cooperation, trust and respect, values differences and diversity and guides, mentors and focuses on the development of staff. Annual salary $59,901 per annum. 11% Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (Increases your take home pay). Work for a leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, community-controlled organisation. Supportive and collaborative team of dedicated professionals. COVID-19 Requirement Immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid -19 vaccine is encouraged. Desired Skills and Experience Required  Certificate III in Dental Assisting or equivalent.  Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes. Ability to support a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.  Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply. Current National Police Check or ability to obtain. Preferred Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.  Previous experience working with Dental Students.
