We are seeking a suitably skilled applicant for a permanent up to full-time position as Dental Assistant in East Grampians Health Service Dental department.

We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst.
Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work.
These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients.
Our community health centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.

This role works as part of a team to assist Dentists and Oral Health Therapists to provide quality direct patient care.
The role includes chairside assistance and administrative support in the dental department.
This important role contributes to effective patient flow.
Duties for this position will include:
Assisting chairside for Dental Operators, Oral Health Therapists and studentsPreparing equipment, dental materials and instrumentsContributing to patient flow by monitoring scheduling, work practices and time managementUndertaking administrative tasks including scheduling and voucher processingAbout YouPositive attitude to community dental services and willingness to learnWell-developed communication and interpersonal skillsCaring disposition and commitment to provide high quality, customer-focused careAppointment is subject to immunisation clearance and current and satisfactory Employment Checks (Police and Working With Children Checks).
